Special for the 75th Republic Day Parade there will be an all women tri-forces marching column taking part for the first time ever.

Also for the first time in the mechanised columns section of the RD Parade –  three different cutting edge weapons systems used for conventional and sub-conventional operations will be shown that including drone jammers, medium range surface-to-air missiles and advance radio monitoring systems.

According to the Ministry of Defence, Army’s main battle tank the T-90 will also form part of the RD Parade with mechanised columns of Nag Missile systems, Pinaka Multi-Launch systems and Swati Weapon Locating Radar.

As this year the President of France Emmanuel Marcon will be the Chief Guest, a marching contingent of French Legion will also take part in the march past.

The all women tri-service column will consist of women soldiers from Corps of Military Police marching in tandem with Naval and Air Force women soldiers.

The RD Parade will begin from 10.30 am onwards and will culminate with a fly-past by Indian Air Force.

A total of 46 lAF aircraft comprising 29 fighter aircraft, 7 transport aircraft, 9 helicopters and one heritage aircraft will participate in this year’s Republic Day flypast.

All these aircraft will operate from six different bases.
