The global spotlight was tightly on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, 25 September at the all important annual General Assembly meeting of the United Nations in New York where he lost no time to highlight happening in Afghanistan while cautioning the world about dubious role that Pakistan plays to allegedly fish for its benefits from the terror factories.

Considered as one of his best speeches yet made at the world stage in the recent times Modi said,  “it is essential to ensure that Afghanistan’s territory is not used to spread terrorism or for terrorist activities.”

The Prime Minister was direct in his attack hinting at Pakistan stating that it is “crucial to ensure Afghanistan territory is not used to spread terrorism or terror attacks. We need to be alert and ensure no country tries to take advantage of the delicate situation there and use it as a tool for their selfish interest.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier arrived in New York from Washington after meeting the US President Joe Biden who hosted summit meeting of leaders from QUAD Countries consisting of Japan, Australia, India apart from the US.
