Even as diplomats work overtime to reach an early end of war between Russia and Ukraine, world crude prices registered a slight dip on Tuesday the 15th of March 2022.

Slight reduction was also a direct result of pressure put-in by the OPEC about a near-term supply demand.

Global crude benchmark Brent was down by $5.84, or 5.5 per cent, at $101.06 a barrel by mid-day trading at London.

Earlier on Tuesday the crude oil prices fell to $97.50, the lowest price since February 25.

It may be recalled that on March the 7th, 2022, the Brent trading price of crude oil had reached a high point at $139.12 in wake of Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Various reports on Monday had indicated that diplomatic activity had increased on multiple fronts as the conflict entered its 20th day.

Media reports said that the leaders from Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovenia were travelling to Kyiv on Tuesday in an attempt to find an early solution to end the hostilities.
