 Within days after Joe Biden – Xi Jinping video call, Beijing’s envoy to the US is being seen quoted in US media that no military assistance is being send to Russia.

China’s ambassador to the US Mr. Qin Gang was quoted by CBS News on Sunday the 20th of March 2022.

Mr. Qin  categorically refuted all allegations that Beijing has provided any military assistance to Russia in its ongoing conflict with Ukraine.

Beijing, the envoy said  – China has instead called for immediate restoration of peace in the Ukraine region by calling for a ceasefire, promoting peace talks and sending humanitarian aid.

CBS News quoted Mr Qin Gang as saying, “On Friday, President Xi Jinping and President Biden had a video call. It was candid, deep and constructive. President Xi gave China’s position very clear, that is China stands for peace, opposes war.

“There’s disinformation about China providing military assistance to Russia. We reject that. What China is doing is sending food, medicine, sleeping bags and the baby formula.”.

He added, “We hate to see the situation over Ukraine come to today’s, like this, and we call for immediate ceasefire, and we are promoting peace talks, and we are sending humanitarian assistance.”

The Chinese ambassador in Washington pointed out that China’s trusted relations with Russia is not a liability and this will be an “asset in the international efforts to solve the crisis in a peaceful way”.
