Whose Chandigarh is it anyway – Punjab’s or Haryana’s.
A verbal duel, it appears has begun in right earnest between Aam Aadmi Party’s Arvind Kejriwal and Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
Days after Punjab assembly passed a resolution demanding immediate transfer of Chandigarh to their government, Haryana CM on Sunday the 3rd of April 2022 stated that Chandigarh actually belongs to them.
Khattar elaborated that the Government stands firmly on this issue and the people of the state are also with them.
He said that its only few weeks since the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has formed its government in Punjab and it has already started raising such a controversial issue, which he added is incorrect.
The Chief Minister was speaking to media persons on side-lines at a local function in Karnal on Sunday.
