There appears to be trouble over the horizon for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has issued summons to Kejriwal for questioning in Delhi Excise policy case directing him to appear before it on coming Sunday that is on 16th of April 2023.

The former deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia is already in Tihar Central Jail in connection with the same excise policy case.

The CBI summons to Arvind Kejriwal were served on him on Friday evening that is on 14th of April 2023.

Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh came down heavily on BJP-led Central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and alleged “A conspiracy has been hatched to arrest and put Kejriwal in jail and take action against him.”

Singh, in a press conference here, said CBI summon would not stop Kejriwal and AAP in their fight against corruption.

Singh alleged, “The day of Arvind Kejriwal’s speech in Delhi Assembly. On the same day Centre started plotting to arrest Kejriwal. The fight will not stop with CBI summons.”

“This is Arvind Kejriwal who gave the country the model of education, health, electricity and water. Your notice is not going to stop his fight against corruption. Your scam worth lakhs of rupees will go from house to house,” alleged Singh.

Meanwhile, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva alleged that the Delhi government by bringing its new excise policy on the one hand caused loss to Delhi’s revenue and on the other hand hurt the society as well. The Delhi government did the work of pushing the youth towards alcoholism, pushing the poor families towards ruin.

Sachdeva said, “We believe that the investigation of this liquor scam has now reached its decisive phase.”
