Taking full advantage of being the selected few in the first batch of re-started  Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, mass Yoga was performed at a high altitude station in Tibet to celebrate the Intyernational Yoga Day on Saturday the 21st of June 2025.

According to a social media twitter message flashed on ‘X’ by the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Randhir Jaiswal:

“The first batch of ‘Kailash Manasarovar Yatra’ Yatris via Nathu La route, performed Yoga to mark the #InternationalDayofYoga2025 in Bainang County in Tibet Autonomous Region, while on their way to perform the holy Yatra.”

It may be recalled that the first batch of pilgrims for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025 had departed on 13th June earlier this month.

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra was stopped after Galwan Vally clashes in 2020.

Randhir Jaiswal added that minister of External Affairs Dr S Jaishankar joined by many ambassadors and high commissioners posted in Delhi performed many yoga asanas marking the 11th IYD at the Nehru Park located in the Diplomatic Enclave in Chanakayapuri, Delhi.

“EAM @DrSJaishankar led #IDY2025 celebration by MEA where Ambassadors, High Commissioners, members of the diplomatic corps and officers of the Ministry joined to perform yoga.

“Based on the theme of ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’, the 11th edition of International Day of Yoga emphasizes harmony between human wellbeing & the nature around.”
