Pakistan has been ‘put on notice’, India has declared that any ceasefire violations will be severely dealt with.
On Sunday the 10th of May 2025, military commanders were told in no uncertain terms that henceforth any CFV (ceasefire violations) should be measured with equal and greater force.
While briefing on the details of Operation Sindoor, the three Director Generals of Military, Air and Sea operations stated that about 100 terrorists were eliminated on the first day of action under Operation Sindoor.
The warning issued to Pakistan came on Sunday evening after last night’s widespread shelling and drone attack across the length of entire Western Front both at the IB and LOC (international border and line-of-control).
Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, India’s Director-General of Military Operations, said at around 7 pm on the evening of 10th May 2025, first reports of ceasefire violations were recorded.
It may be recalled that DGMO from Pakistan had made his call to Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai at 3.35 pm on 10th May proposing ceasefire to come into effect from 5 pm oinwards.
“However… expectedly it took only a couple of hours for Pakistan to violate these arrangements and firing, across the border and the Line of Control, followed by drone intrusions, continued through last night and in the early hours of today,” Lt Gen Ghai said.
“These violations were responded to robustly,” he stressed, noting that the Chief of Army Staff has granted full authority to counter any violation.
Lt General Ghai then said he sent a ‘hotline’ message to his counterpart highlighting these violations and India’s firm and clear intent to respond ‘fiercely’ if repeated.
Tomorrow that is on 12th of May 2025, at 1200 noon both the DGMOs from India and Pakistan will review the situation, as agreed upon on 10th May.
